Amrita Hospital Faridabad has developed a specialist clinic where persons with severe asthma will receive concentrated care and access to the latest therapies available in order to improve their quality of life. Amrita Hospital's Department of Pulmonary Medicine in Faridabad will be a one-stop shop for asthma patients of all severity levels. The clinic strives to give patients with comprehensive and high-quality care. Dr. Sanjeev K Singh, medical director of Amrita Hospital Faridabad, remarked at the launch of the Specialty Precision Clinic, "Bronchial asthma is a common but undertreated respiratory condition in the United States.

Asthmatic patients require extensive illness treatment and, in many cases, require specialised counsel. Severe asthma requires specific examinations and management regimens that are only available at a few specialist centres. The clinic will provide cutting-edge medical assistance to patients suffering from severe asthma. We are excited to open this precision clinic, which will set a new standard in healthcare by being patient-centered, economical, and accessible to all sectors of the population." "This would be the first clinic of its kind in this section of the country, where the overall burden of asthma patients is exceptionally high," said Dr. Arjun Khanna, chairman of the department of pulmonary medicine. All asthma-related investigations would take place under one roof.

A number of instruments and diagnostic modalities are not available in the majority of North Indian institutions. The genuine USP of the clinic is that the most advanced testing are all available under one roof, at the same time." Dr Sourabh Pahuja, consultant, department of pulmonary medicine, said “Patients with very severe asthma require certain drugs such as biologics. So, testing for those who are eligible for biologics is also available at our centre. This assessment requires special tests like skin prick test, IOS (Impulse Oscillometry) and FeNo (Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide), which are all available with us. With these facilities, we can check for asthma in very young patients. So even paediatric patients would benefit from this.” The clinic will be operational every Tuesday. The inauguration of the clinic was done by Swami Nijamritananda Puri, administrative director, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad.
