Bayer’s Consumer Health Division of Bayer has introduced its new strategic plan to enter the prenatal nutrition market with two new products, Supradyn Mom’s and Supradyn Naturals Calcium+. These two products, just like Supradyn, a multivitamin brand that has always been the consumers’ first choice, have been launched to take care of the primary nutritional deficiency problem in women of the whole country during preconception, pregnancy, and lactation periods.
During pregnancy, however, the need for iron doubles, and similarly, calcium requirements skyrocket to the point where the unborn baby’s bone growth can be supported and the occurrence of particular disorders such as preeclampsia, low birth weight, and the mother’s bone loss can be prevented. Given how 23 million new babies are born in India every year, these deficiencies are seen as severe obstacles to long-term health and development.
One of Bayer’s prenatal lines is creating just the right solutions that science backs up: Supradyn Mom’s contains a full spectrum of iron, folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12, copper, and zinc and is designed to give higher maternal nutrition than the standard iron-folic acid supplements.

Sandeep Verma, Cluster Head, South Asia – Contributor to Bayer Consumer Health, said that the specific program was a step further in Bayer’s journey to bring affordable, scientifically validated health solutions, which reduce the gap between the country’s demand and supply of healthy food like Mission Poshan 2.0. The products can be accessed now not only in the pharmacists’ shops but also via online portals in metros and Tier 1 & 2 towns.
