Aurobindo Pharma has marked a major milestone as its US subsidiary Lannett Company LLC launched the generic version of Advair Diskus in the American market on 31 August 2026.
The product reaches patients in two strengths, 100/50 mcg and 250/50 mcg. This launch represents the first commercial inhalation product from Aurobindo’s pipeline and expands access to a widely prescribed combination therapy for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Lannett, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma USA, developed and commercialized the fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder.
The move strengthens the company’s presence in complex respiratory generics and signals progress in its high-barrier product strategy.
