Cyberabad police arrested the former CEO of a prominent corporate hospital in Mumbai, caught with 53 grams of cocaine, who was heavily addicted to drugs. The 34-year-old doctor even sold her property to buy the drugs.
She uses cocaine up to 10 times a day, even in the middle of the night when she wakes up due to her addiction, noted from the investigation report. Before she was arrested, the police visited her house and informed her family that she was under the police radar, and suggested moving her into a de-addiction center.
The divorced doctor, mother of two children, admitted to continuing her cocaine after returning to India. Vansh Thakkar and Balakrishna, who were involved in this case, supplied cocaine drugs to the doctor. The doctor handed over Rs. 5 lakh in cash to Balakrishna on May 4, in Hyderabad as per Thakkar’s instructions. On May 8, they get caught while delivering the cocaine and get arrested by the police. Officers also seized evidence from Balakrishna’s mobile phone and their WhatsApp conversation about drug deals.
For about a year, the doctor has been procuring cocaine from Thakkar, and she buys the drugs on a monthly basis. Thakkar gives instructions to her through WhatsApp about the delivery location and time; it is observed that he turned on the disappearing messages.
They have been arrested under Section 8© and 22(b) of the Narcotic Drugs (NDPS) Act.
