Korber has announced the release of the new PAS-X MES 3.4, a robust upgrade to its Manufacturing Execution System that will facilitate the digital transformation of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The latest release includes a web-based and scalable system with a modern UX, AI-based user support, and intelligent lifecycle management capabilities to comply with the requirements of the highly regulated life sciences industry.
"With the launch of PAS-X MES 3.4, Korber is setting a new benchmark for digital manufacturing in the life sciences industry,” states Pierrick Lebigre, vice president product software, Korber Business Area Pharma.

“Our customers gain a powerful cloud- and AI-driven platform that modernizes the shopfloor and makes processes faster, more flexible, and more efficient. This release lays the foundation for sustainable competitiveness in a highly regulated environment – today and in the future."
A big feature is the NGS (NextGen Shopfloor) execution, which already covers equipment-related activities such as Order Execution and Batch Record Review, with plans to address all shopfloor activities in the future. Operators can engage seamlessly from available tablets, handhelds, terminals, and desktops through an ability to enhance, user-friendly interface.
A new Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) interface has also been rolled out through effective MES-SAP WMS integration that can reduce user reconciliation by 15%. Moreover, to enhance reliability, PAS-X MES 3.4 includes service scalability with high availability through failover and built-in observability tooling for real-time performance monitoring. The containerized, CI/CD driven deployment will help keep PAS-X refreshed and maintainable more quickly and efficiently.
