Rockwell Automation, a provider of digital transformation and industrial automation technology, has teamed up with NKP Pharma, a pharmaceutical packaging machinery manufacturer in Gujarat, to introduce a new visualization solution that will enhance data accessibility and regulatory compliance
Through this partnership, there will be a major shift; NKP Pharma has been able to comply with USFDA 21 CFR Part 11 standards, which regulate the use of electronic records and signatures in pharmaceutical manufacturing. In the past, NKP Pharma experienced difficulties adhering to the severe regulations due to its dependence on costly IPC-SCADA systems, which also limited customers' access to operational data. PC-SCADA systems integrate Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software with Industrial PCs (IPCs). In response to this challenge, the business made use of Rockwell Automation's new human-machine interface platform, FactoryTalk Optix, which enhances real-time data availability and supports compliance.
Alpesh Mistry, Vice President of Operations at NKP Pharma, said that the implementation of the new system provided a cost-effective solution that fulfilled regulatory requirements without the high expenses usually associated with traditional systems. The partnership was hailed by Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director of Rockwell Automation India, who also commended NKP Pharma's advancements in meeting regulatory requirements. He pointed out that in addition to helping companies satisfy regulatory requirements; sophisticated visualization and real-time data accessibility can increase operational effectiveness and reduce expenses.
