NPPA has launched an integrated project, that solves the dilemma where Netizens going back and forth between multiple apps. Through this integrated project, both Pharma Jan Samadhan portal and Pharma Sahi Daam portal are unified into one single platform.
People can now check the prices of medicines and register complaints on the same government platform.
This project operated under the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) also declared that this unified initiative will be operating through Pharma Sahi Daam portal and app.
Key highlights
This project also aims to simplify the access to information and customer dispute resolution. Whereas there used to be separate apps for both the purposes, by unifying both this will be availed in one single digital platform.
NPPA also stated that two projects were initially brought to promote transparency, accountability, and affordable medicine to the people.
Integrating the two would again help in improving services, making it more convenient to use and thereby creating a user-friendly experience.

Pharma Sahi Daam assures that people can check the actual prices of medicines available in the pharmacy. Alongside it prevents scams, through the government provided ceiling price for medicines, thereby protecting the vulnerable patients.
Also assures faster resolutions for grievances regarding the medicine prices. Therefore this integrated initiative helps in understanding the complaints and concerns that people struggle with.
The government also focuses on spreading awareness on this, majorly as part of promoting the digitalization of services availed to the public.
This integration is also part of governments plan on promoting digital governance and thereby promoting core principle “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance”.
Officials have stated the unified initiative is expected to bring ease of access, and maximum public awareness on medicine prices and customer dispute solutions and thereby reducing duplication of services.
As the Pharma Sahi Daam enables people to look up the medicine prices and report if any scheduled drugs are being sold above the prices that government have fixed upon.
As per the reports the intergrated platform has started operating with immediate effect, NPPA has also asked the public to continue using with the new unified Pharma Sahi Daam.
