Dr Roy Patankar, Director, Zen Multispeciality Hospital, said, “We are proud to have achieved this milestone. Our passion to teach and share knowledge in minimal access and robotic surgery keeps us constantly motivated. Bringing together busy surgeons from across India to Mumbai was no small task, yet we had about 520 surgeons attending the live surgeries at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
“It was a massive logistical effort to connect 94 centers nationwide, from Srinagar to Visakhapatnam and Kolkata to Mumbai, with 30–50 surgeons at each center watching intently from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The live surgical session was conducted strictly in accordance with the National Medical Council (NMC) guidelines, with necessary approvals from the Maharashtra Medical Council as well,” he added.
“The award we received is a testimony to the hospital’s dedication to skill enhancement, knowledge sharing, patient care, and clinical excellence. By combining advanced technology with expert mentorship, Zen Hospital continues to shape the future of minimally invasive and robotic surgery. This milestone not only celebrates a record but also strengthens the hospital’s vision of empowering surgeons nationwide through continuous learning and collaboration,” he said.
