Past decades have witnessed a boom in social media proliferation, and with it, easy and quick information exchange for all kinds of topics including skin care, health care, and cosmetic best practices. Heightened awareness about various ingredients and formulations, their impact on the skin, and the numerous benefits of caring for the skin have, in turn, led to advancement of the cosmetic manufacturing industry. Middle class, being the fastest growing segment of Indian population having more and more disposable income in its hands, has also acted as a catalyst for the growth of Personal care and Cosmetics industry. This boom has pushed manufacturers and developers to continually evolve, bringing in new formulations and molecules or ingredients that address common skin concerns. Bio Avenues, a leading organization manufacturing high-quality cosmeceuticals for skincare, hair care, and personal care products in north India was established to fulfill the dynamic consumer demands. The zeal for maintaining aesthetic appeal has contributed to mushrooming of Dermatologists and Cosmetologists in urban areas. Their own derma brands marketing company Aurel Derma is serving Dermatologist fraternity all over India as well as in few overseas countries.

“There has been unprecedented growth in skincare segment during last decade, and we believe this segment shall maintain its double digit growth for many more years to come. Increased awareness is pushing more and more people to visit Dermatologist who can rightly guide them for customized solutions as per their skin or hair conditions. Usage of products like sun screens has increased manifolds not only due to social media but also due to doctors advising patients regarding harmful effects of ultra violet rays emitted by sun which can even cause skin cancer”, speaks Ranjiv Grover, Co-Founder, Bio Avenues. With over 20 years of exposure in Health Care segment the three founders, namely Ranjiv Grover, Deepak Grover and Rajesh Grover are bullish about the future of this segment.

Innovation is the key to the success of this industry. For instance, serums have become a very popular skincare product over the past two years. Bio Avenues creates a range of serums featuring ingredients like PDRN, cica exosomes, snail mucin, ceramide complex, vitamin C to name a few.

Dedicated Research & Development (R&D)?
In addition to manufacturing prowess, Research & Development (R&D) is the key strength at Bio Avenues. Vastly experienced ‘Product Research and Formulation Development Team’ is having years of hands-on experience in derma/cosmeceutical segment. Equipped with the knowledge and access to all the upcoming ingredients and research combinations and awareness of finer details like texture/fragrance and therapeutic requirements of these products.

Single Window Advantage
One major advantage with Bio Avenues is their over 20 years of product branding, scientificmarketing aids, packaging designing and printing/fabrication experience within the group companies, making them well equipped to undertake all the product cycle needs in one go.

“The market for cosmeceuticals is highly dynamic and changes at a very fast pace. So, we need to be agile and continually create innovative products. Additionally, we attend world wide exhibitions to keep ourselves updated, and invest significantly to introduce products with newer formulations”, says Deepak Grover, Co-Founder, Bio Avenues.

Bio Avenue’s extensive and detailed approach, focused on R&D excellence, has been a key driving force behind the company’s success. However, beyond this, the company has created a loyal client-base by emphasizing ethical business practices, delivering exactly what it promises. The company places significance on quality assurance, which has boosted its reputation in the market, and empowered it to maintain long-term relationships.

Journey and Future Roadmap
Bio Avenue’s journey started in 2002, when the firm’s parent company Medivisual Healthworld initially started its operations as a pharmaceutical branding and scientific marketing information provider, working with various pharmaceutical companies like Sun Pharma (known as Ranbaxy at the time), Dr Reddy’s lab, Mankind and more. From these collaborations, the team gained invaluable knowledge about the importance of branding, and the manner of sharing scientific marketing information.

Leveraging these insights, way back in 2009 the founders set up Aurel BioLife and then Aurel Derma, launching there own brands in the competitive Pharma sector. With excellence as a mantra and no compromise for quality, within few years their brands created a niche in the tough doctor-prescribed segment. In 2020, the team once again leveraged its backward integration capabilities, creating Bio Avenues an R&D based stateof-the-art Cosmeceutical products manufacturing company that creates efficacious formulations. Currently, the group has gained tremendous momentum, growing at a 25-30 percent year-on-year basis, reflecting its excellence in the field.

Aligned with its dynamic and agile method of expanding, Bio Avenues is always working towards increasing its presence. In this ever-evolving domain, the company’s R&D team is playing a pivotal role in continually advancing with the market trends, staying ahead through extensive development initiatives, and collaborating with leading companies. Envisioning a thriving future, the company aims to continue innovating, introducing more molecules, and partnering with more brands, customizing formulations, and developing products that combine various benefits aligned with the demands of its diverse client base.

With these wide-ranging strategic initiatives, Bio Avenues aspires to become the leading cosmeceuticals manufacturers in India.
