As Liport expands, the company is simultaneously strengthening the systems and people required to support sustainable growth

India’s growing burden of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, alongside increasingly complex critical-care requirements, is placing greater responsibility on the healthcare ecosystem. In chronic and critical care, the challenge extends beyond developing therapies to ensuring that patients have consistent access to appropriate medicines, nutritional support and scientifically relevant solutions.
This is creating space for healthcare companies that understand therapeutic requirements and build their businesses around specific gaps in patient care.
Liport Healthcare is developing its presence within this space through a focused portfolio spanning cardiology, diabetology, oncology, critical care and nutritional solutions. Supported and funded by PP Assets Legacy, the company is building its growth around a straightforward principle: identify an important patient problem first and then find a scientifically relevant solution.
Established in 2022, Liport began by addressing nutritional requirements among recovering and critically ill patients before expanding into chronic therapeutic segments. Starting its operations in Maharashtra and subsequently expanding into Gujarat, where it is now headquartered, the company is steadily strengthening its healthcare presence.

Leading this journey is Kalpesh Sanjay Baviskar, Director, an MS-qualified pharmaceutical professional whose experience includes serving as a Senior Brand Manager. His years of understanding pharmaceutical brands, healthcare professionals and patient requirements have shaped a leadership philosophy that views healthcare businesses as problem-solving organizations rather than merely product-driven enterprises.
From a Patient Problem to a Healthcare Business
The origins of Liport can be traced to an everyday yet consequential challenge observed in critical care. Families of ICU patients often struggle to provide appropriate nutrition through conventional home-prepared food, particularly when patients have specific recovery requirements. Recognizing this gap prompted the company to explore scientifically developed nutritional solutions.
Under the strategic direction and marketing vision of Padmanav Senapati (Director), Liport developed a medical nutritional formula backed by scientific research and published literature.
The formulation was designed around established nutritional requirements and quality parameters relevant to patient recovery, with an emphasis on supporting nutritional recovery and maintaining muscle mass.

Entering an already competitive nutritional segment, however, meant that scientific credibility had to be translated into professional confidence. Liport introduced product sampling and taste-evaluation initiatives that enabled doctors to assess the product and become familiar with its formulation and acceptability.
At the same time, digital and online platforms were used to broaden awareness among patients and caregivers and improve access to nutritional information.

Building Depth in Cardiology & Diabetology
The same problem-first approach subsequently led Liport towards cardiology and diabetology. While working in nutritional care, the company identified unmet requirements among patients managing diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular conditions—areas where prolonged treatment, regular physician engagement and dependable access to therapies are particularly important.
As it entered these segments, Liport focused on selected molecules that remain widely used and clinically relevant. Even as newer molecules continue to emerge, its marketing approach emphasizes identifying established therapies with sustained clinical relevance and building focused, scientifically driven brands around them. Alongside cardiology and diabetology, the company is developing capabilities in oncology and critical care.
“This reflects Liport’s intention to build depth rather than create an excessively broad portfolio across unrelated categories. Its marketing philosophy consequently rests on three interconnected priorities—scientific credibility, doctor confidence and patient reach”, says Kalpesh Sanjay Baviskar, Director.

A Sales Force Built around Knowledge & Relationships
Supporting this therapeutic expansion is a sales organization that Liport considers one of its key strengths. Rather than positioning the sales team purely as a field force responsible for product movement, the company expects its professionals to understand the healthcare concepts and therapies they represent and communicate their relevance effectively to clinicians.
Under the leadership of Jitendra Neve (Director) and Nilesh Khond (Director), Liport’s Maharashtra sales team has worked to establish the company across major hospitals and healthcare professionals, introducing both concept-driven and therapeutic brands despite competing against established players.
“The team combines professionals with five to 15 years of industry experience with younger members being trained in science, product knowledge, communication and strategic market development. Experienced professionals contribute market understanding, therapeutic knowledge and established doctor relationships, while younger team members bring adaptability, curiosity and fresh thinking”, shares Jitendra Neve.
This combination is intended to create a field organization capable not merely of selling products but of building sustained professional relationships. For Liport, this is particularly important because its broader strategy depends on remaining close to doctors and patients, understanding changing requirements and identifying gaps where medicines, nutrition or other healthcare solutions can make a practical difference.
Scaling a Patient-Problem-First Model
As Liport expands, the company is simultaneously strengthening the systems and people required to support sustainable growth. Product availability, quality standards and regulatory compliance remain central to its operating model, particularly as chronic therapies demand continuity and healthcare products require dependable execution.
Currently operating with a team of around 20+ professionals, Liport plans to expand its workforce to more than 100 as its geographical and therapeutic footprint grows. Yet its longer-term ambition extends beyond organizational scale.
The company wants to evolve from a conventional pharmaceutical distribution business into a healthcare organization capable of continuously identifying unmet patient requirements and providing scientifically driven solutions around them.
“The philosophy that began with a nutritional challenge in critical care therefore continues to define Liport’s roadmap. Whether the requirement involves nutrition, chronic disease management or specialized therapies, the company intends to keep patient needs at the starting point of its decisions”, highlights Nilesh Khond.
As Liport Healthcare enters its next stage, its growth will be shaped not simply by the number of products it represents or territories it enters, but by its ability to combine scientific marketing, a knowledgeable sales force and reliable distribution around meaningful healthcare needs. In doing so, it aims to build an organization where commercial expansion remains closely connected to better patient support.
