In an ambitious step to transform India's healthcare system, the Adani Group announced that they are developing two AI-first Health Cities in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, with an initial investment of ?6,000 crore. The Cities will integrate healthcare ecosystems, which include health education, research, medical care, and wellness.

Each campus will contain a 1,000 bed multi-super-specialty hospital and a medical college with space for 150 undergraduates, more than 80 residents and more than 40+ fellows every year, as well as outpatient transitional care units, digital diagnostics, and innovation labs. The unique focus on AI-first, utilizing biomedical informatics, precision diagnostics, and digital technology helps ensure accessible and affordable healthcare for everyone.

Adani has partnered with Mayo Clinic, a globally recognized US-based medical enterprise, as the project provides assurance for global standards of service delivery quality. Mayo Clinic's "Global Consulting" arm will provide technical consulting in order to establish and incorporate clinical excellence and best practice throughout the initiative.

This announcement reflects the first phase of Adani's bigger plan to architect a nationwide network of affordable, world-class healthcare hubs. The operational focus on Health Cities also aligns with the Group's airport infrastructure - opening up opportunities for medical tourism in the future.

With a clear focus on affordability, quality, and innovation, Adani’s entry into healthcare signals a transformative leap for the industry and a promising step toward tech-driven, inclusive medical ecosystems in India.
