Amazon India expanded its healthcare services further with the launch of Amazon Diagnostics, an in-home diagnostic testing service to deliver quick, secure, and easy lab testing to the doorsteps of customers. The new service allows customers to order lab tests, book appointments, track progress, and see digital reports, all within the Amazon app.
Partnering with Orange Health Labs, Amazon Diagnostics will launch in six Indian metros: Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, across over 450 PIN codes. The service introduces the ease of Amazon's e-commerce platform to healthcare with doorstep sample collection at the time of booking within just 60 minutes.
Amazon Diagnostics will offer access to more than 800 diagnostic tests to meet a variety of preventive, routine, and specialty health checkup requirements. They range from blood tests and metabolic panels to thyroid function tests and other mandatory health screens. The service is backed by accurate results and end-to-end digital integration, making it a seamless experience for customers from test booking to digital reports.
Amazon Pharmacy enables users to purchase prescription medication and health essentials online as well as additional value-added services like free tele-consultation services and in-home delivery for Prime as well as non-Prime members. For comparison, Amazon Clinic provides online consultation with trained medical specialists, catering to primary health needs through a simplified digital platform.
