Apollo Ayurveda, India’s most well-known chain of precision Ayurveda hospitals and a leader in integrative medicine has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (JNTBGRI) which is an autonomous research & development institution, under the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), to engage in joint research on herbal drug development and standards. MOU will be in effect, for an initial period of three years.

The MoU was formally exchanged during the KSCSTE R&D Summit 2025, held in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during a summit on “Translating R&D Innovations into Scalable Solutions,” bringing together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and innovators from across the state and country.

Apollo AyurVAID and JNTBGRI will pursue collaborative R&D projects in in silico drug discovery, herb raw material authentication, and phytochemical and pharmacological standardisation. The two entities agree to develop a framework for translational research that translates discovery science into product development and therapeutic practice. The collaboration also includes support for one another when applying for funding proposals, knowledge exchange, and communication through lectures and seminars.
