Apollo Healthcare Academy and Mahindra University, Hyderabad, have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly offer Bachelor’s programmes in Allied Health Education to mitigate the unsatisfied need for skilled health professionals, both in India and across the globe.
The partnership brings together Mahindra University’s advanced academic infrastructure combined with Apollo’s considerable clinical capabilities to develop graduates who are "practice-ready" for the health workforce for prevailing requirements.

The programmes will provide high-demand specializations, including anaesthesia and operation theatre technology, medical laboratory technology, cardiovascular technology, and others. This curriculum has been developed according to the National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP) curriculum-practice guidelines to ensure compliance with the required regulatory body, and potential global recognition.
All students will experience the opportunity to participate in structured clinical rotations at Apollo Hospitals and their facility-based partners, and an internship in their final year.
Highlighting the importance of this initiative, Dr Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor of Mahindra University, said the collaboration will produce healthcare professionals capable of making an immediate impact. Dr Rajinder Singh Chauhan, Dean at Mahindra University, emphasized the integration of academic rigor with real-world training.
Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran, CEO of Apollo Knowledge, noted that this step is part of Apollo’s global workforce development drive, bridging classroom learning with hospital practice to open opportunities in India and abroad. Dr Jagadeswaran, Dean & Head – Allied & Healthcare Professions, Apollo Institute of Hospital Management & Allied Sciences, commented: “Together, we will prepare allied health graduates who are globally relevant and locally impactful.
Utilizing advanced laboratories, digital learning tools, research opportunities and placement assistance through Apollo’s large network, the initiative seeks to develop graduates who are confident and practice-ready to meet a growing global healthcare needs.
