India's health care must change to be proactive, use tech, and focus on what people need, said Lovekesh Phasu, top worker at Sakra World Hospital.

Usually, health care has aimed at fixing sickness only after it shows up. But now, with more young people getting illnesses like diabetes, heart issues, and cancer, just reacting is not enough. “Stopping illness early and acting fast are not just future plans—they're urgent needs now. Helping people stay well should be our main focus,” Phasu said.

Tech, he said, has opened new ways through remote check-ups, AI for tests, and online health files. Yet, success depends on how well we use these tools day-to-day. “A smartwatch spotting a heart problem only helps if a skilled person is ready to act,” he added.

Phasu stressed that a health system ready for the future needs good public health setups backed by up-to-date data. We need to spot risks early, not just in hospitals but also in places where people live and work. Linking data from devices to national health systems could help better monitor health, allocate resources, and tailor health messages. But making these accessible and workable is a big task.

He warned that while cities are moving ahead, rural places still struggle with poor connections, testing, and specialist care. Closing this tech gap is key to fair results.

Lastly, Phasu talked about how important it is that health workers are ready. More than just having more workers, they need training to handle long-term illnesses, understand how patients feel, and use new tech well. “The main challenge isn't just change, but being ready for it,” he ended.
