Datavant, the healthcare data collaboration network, has declared its strategic collaboration with Indegene to improve the effectiveness of recruitment in complicated studies.

Through integration of tailored data enrichment solutions of Datavant into the NEXT Patient Recruitment solution of Indegene, this collaboration will enhance the contracting of trials within a shorter duration, reduction in screen failures, and streamlined recruitment activities by biopharmaceutical companies.

Datavant is in charge of the largest health data retrieval network in the country, with approximately 80,000 hospitals and clinics, and an annual volume of over 100 million patient records. This broad presence, together with digitally-based recruitment solutions offered by Indegene, reinforces the capacity to find the right subjects in the clinical studies with the help of accurate health data guidelines.

The partnership will enable more deserving patients to receive the trials that will specifically address their health conditions, and they are complex and rare. Such a procedure enhances access as well as streamlining the trial processes to sponsors.

The integration will enable biopharma companies to minimize the site-level screen failures, speed up the enrollment schedules, and decrease the screen-to-randomization ratios, according to the announcement. The partnership, in its turn, spurs more knowledgeable decision-making throughout the clinical development cycle and contributes to the acceleration of rates of innovative treatments getting into the hands of patients.

The Datavant-Indegene merger would be a big leap in the direction of resolving the recruitment bottleneck that has long been an issue in the rare disease and complicated clinical trials.
