Strong Business momentum helped Indegene deliver an impressive revenue performance during the first quarter of FY27.
The healthcare and pharmaceutical commercialization services company reported a 39.7% year-on-year rise in Indegene operating revenue.
However, profit remained almost unchanged as margins came under pressure. The company posted operating revenue of Rs 1,063 crore for the quarter ended June 2026.
While revenue reached a new milestone, net profit slipped slightly from the previous year. Management remains optimistic about stronger profitability during the second half of FY27.
Indegene reported operating revenue of Rs 1,063 crore during the June quarter. This marked a 39.7% increase compared to the same period last year. The company continued expanding its customer base during the quarter. It added 35 new active clients, taking the total number of active clients to 105.
Another major achievement came from high-value accounts. Customers generating over $10 million in revenue increased from two to 12 on a sequential basis. The growth reflects Indegene's continued focus on expanding relationships with global life sciences companies.

The company's net profit stood at Rs 116 crore during the quarter. This represented a marginal decline of 0.2% compared to the previous year. EBITDA increased 16.9% year-on-year to Rs 179 crore. However, the EBITDA margin declined by 330 basis points, indicating pressure on profitability despite higher revenue.
The company expects these margin pressures to ease as recent investments begin delivering better returns.
Indegene plans to increase its presence across higher-value client operations. The company also aims to expand its Gen AI offerings to strengthen long-term growth.
Commenting on the quarter, Indegene's Chief Financial Officer Suhas Prabhu said the rise in active clients reflects investments made last year. These investments focused on strengthening sales and go-to-market teams.
He added that as client engagements mature and scale further, operating leverage should improve. The company also expects profitability to strengthen during the second half of FY27.
The latest quarter highlights Indegene's ability to maintain healthy business growth while building a stronger client portfolio. Its focus on digital capabilities and artificial intelligence could support future expansion across global healthcare markets.
