The highly-anticipated India MedTech Expo 2025 was inaugurated this morning at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, by Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Jagat Prakash Nadda, with Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT Jitin Prasada.
The Expo is a three-day event with the theme 'India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering yet Affordable' that highlights India's rapidly growing capacity in medical technology and devices.
The Expo features over 350 exhibitors and more than 150 international buyers from 30 countries making it a very unique platform for collaboration, investment and innovation for all stakeholders in the MedTech sector.

Also present at the inaugural session were other dignitaries such as Amit Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Nitin Kumar Yadav, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, and Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drug Controller General of India among other industry leaders and policymakers. The Expo also includes conferences, CEO roundtables and regulator open houses throughout the event.
During his remarks, Praveen Kumar Mittal, Executive Director of EPCMD, stated that India’s medical devices market value which is at USD 15 billion now is expected to increase to USD 30 billion by 2030 due to over 800 MedTech start-ups, R&D and advancements in manufacturing.
India MedTech Expo 2025, convened by the Department of Pharmaceuticals with participation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, EPCMD, and CDSCO, is a part of the more broadly, Bharat Health 2025 initiative, reinforcing India's global leadership position as an affordable, precision MedTech hub.
