 Manipal Hospitals, Google Cloud Partner to Boost AI in Indian Healthcare

Manipal Hospitals and Google Cloud collaborate to bring in a new era of digital healthcare driven by AI. Through the relationship, the hospital will use Google Cloud's secure cloud infrastructure, advanced data analytics, and artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency throughout the patient care value chain.

Manipal Hospitals is utilizing Google Cloud's technology to power its AI-driven nurse handoff solution and ePharmacy platform with assistance from Deloitte. According to its findings, it has effectively shortened nurse handover times from 90 minutes to just 20 minutes and ePharmacy order processing times from 15 minutes to less than 5 minutes. The hospital chain was able to save millions of minutes of caregiver productivity each month by reducing nurse handoff time by an astounding 78%.

Manipal is connecting various systems with the use of Google Cloud's Cloud Healthcare API and Apigee API Management, guaranteeing that data from ePharmacy transactions is error-free and sent to patients immediately after a consultation. The healthcare provider is leveraging powerful visual analytics features in Looker to help monitor user activity and optimize cart management, delivery tracking, and ordering procedures. During times of high demand, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) keeps the cloud-based infrastructure running smoothly, allowing it to manage prescription volume spikes with almost flawless accuracy.
