 Renofluthrin

India has moved one step ahead in mosquito control by means of developing the Renofluthrin molecule thus placing India at the front of the world in fighting diseases which are carried by mosquitoes. The Renofluthrin project was done entirely by Indian scientists and it was supported by the whole clinical research.

Malaria, dengue, and chikungunya (mosquito-borne diseases) that were once mainly seasonal have now become a concern throughout the year in India. The rising pattern of climate along with the fast-paced urbanization has been an important factor in this change.

The health officials in their statements point out that the insecticide action of Renofluthrin along with its low toxicity can be an excellent combination that would result in an ideal product for domestic use in liquid electric vapourisers as well as in the usual burning mosquito coils and other forms like burning mosquito coils and mosquito incense.

Global Head – R & D Venkateswara Rao Yadlapalli of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. states that the products based on Renofluthrin marks a move towards domestic resources and the products make the country less reliant on foreign imports. The advanced mosquito control alternate will be in use in the households not only of urban areas but also the rural ones.

The large-scale use of Renofluthrin is a major leap for India’s fight against mosquito-borne diseases and at the same time, it is also a symbol of India's move towards scientific self-reliance and better public health conditions.
