Aarogya Setu 2.0 is no longer just a COVID-19 app. The Centre has launched a revamped version of the platform with several new features that bring PM-JAY Wallet, Digital Health Records, and other healthcare services under one roof.
The updated Aarogya Setu 2.0 is designed to help users store medical records, access government health schemes, manage insurance benefits, and connect with healthcare providers through a single app. The move is aimed at making healthcare services simpler, faster, and more accessible for millions of Indians.
The upgraded app was launched by Union Health Minister JP Nadda as part of the government's push to strengthen the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Instead of serving only as a contact-tracing app, Aarogya Setu has now become a Personal Health Record (PHR) platform where users can securely manage their health information.
The latest version of the app combines multiple digital healthcare services into one platform. Users can create and manage their ABHA account, maintain Digital Health Records, and access healthcare services without switching between multiple applications.
Some of the key features include:

One of the biggest additions is the PM-JAY Wallet, which allows eligible beneficiaries to keep track of their health insurance coverage in one place. Users can also monitor insurance claims through the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), reducing paperwork and improving the claims process. The app also includes Ayushman Sarathi, a digital guide that helps users understand government healthcare schemes and available benefits. Another feature, the Unified Health Interface (UHI), connects users with healthcare providers across the country, making it easier to access digital health services.
Users can update or download the latest version of Aarogya Setu 2.0, sign in using their mobile number, and link their ABHA account. Once registered, they can access health records, insurance information, medical documents, and government healthcare services from a single dashboard.
