Apollo Hospitals opened its latest healthcare facility in Swargate, Pune, on Monday, marking its third hospital in Maharashtra and further expanding its presence in western India.
The quaternary care hospital will begin operations with 250 beds in a phased rollout, with plans to expand to its full capacity of 400 beds. Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group, stated that the expansion aligns with the company’s commitment to providing advanced, cost-effective healthcare, in line with the government’s “Heal in India – Heal by India” initiative.

The new facility is part of Apollo’s broader plan to meet the growing healthcare needs of Pune, one of India’s fastest-growing urban and technology hubs. Executive Vice Chairperson Preetha Reddy noted that the hospital reflects the group’s continued emphasis on clinical excellence and improving access to quality healthcare.
Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, highlighted that the Pune center represents a significant extension of Apollo’s national network and will enhance advanced quaternary care services in the region.
The center will collaborate with local clinical specialists and integrate Apollo’s digital health ecosystem to strengthen the delivery of advanced care. Group CEO and President Madhu Sasidhar stated that the hospital has been developed based on evidence-based protocols and patient safety standards, with a strong focus on quality outcomes and consistency across departments. Apollo Hospitals Pune will offer a wide range of specialty services, including cardiac care, organ transplants, orthopedics, cancer treatment, and maternal and pediatric care.
