Under the Ayushman Bharat framework, the Union government has continuously sought to improve the primary to tertiary care continuum. Comprehensive primary care is being ensured through more than 1.79 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and infrastructure shortages across healthcare institutions are being addressed by programs like the PM-ABHIM.
Leadership, creativity, and cooperation are highlighted in the BRICS Women's Healthcare Working Group and Healthcare Excellence Awards thematic sessions on Day 1 of FICCI HEAL 2025. "Our efforts under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission aim to combine these layers by building a seamless digital healthcare system through ABHA accounts," stated Punya Salila Srivastava, secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

“The challenge now is to bring more healthcare providers on board and expand this network. With investment in health infrastructure rising from Rs. 24,000 crore to Rs. 60,000 crore, our focus remains on building an accessible, affordable, and quality-driven healthcare system for every citizen,” she emphasized.
Amit Yadav, secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government ofIndia said, “As we work towards updating policies for the elderly, our focus must be on healthy ageing , physical, mental, and emotional. Ageing well is shaped by how one lives across the lifespan, not just after sixty. Beyond healthcare, we must address issues of loneliness and digital literacy, ensuring financial and personal safety.”
