New hormone plant has become the latest milestone for Corona Remedies as the company strengthens its position in women's healthcare with the commercial launch of a dedicated hormone manufacturing facility in Bhayla, Ahmedabad.
The new hormone plant is expected to increase the company's hormone manufacturing capacity by around 20 percent while supporting its plans to serve both domestic and global markets. The facility has already secured EU-GMP approval, allowing the company to manufacture hormone-based medicines that meet international quality standards.
The Ahmedabad-based pharmaceutical company said the new facility has been built to manufacture hormone products that require specialized production environments and strict contamination controls. With this expansion, Corona Remedies aims to meet the growing demand for hormone therapies used in fertility treatment, menopause management, hormonal disorders, and hormone replacement therapy.
Spread across nearly 100,000 square feet, the facility is equipped to manufacture multiple hormone dosage forms under one roof. The plant has an annual production capacity of:
The facility features closed-loop manufacturing systems, 21 CFR-compliant equipment, precision-controlled gelatin processing, and Quality by Design (QbD) manufacturing practices. It also includes real-time process monitoring to maintain product quality and comply with stringent regulatory requirements.
According to the company, these technologies are designed to ensure consistent manufacturing standards while minimizing contamination risks associated with hormone-based medicines.

The new manufacturing unit is a key part of Corona Remedies' strategy to strengthen its presence in the women's healthcare segment. The company manufactures therapies used for fertility care, hormonal disorders, menopause, and hormone replacement therapy, areas where demand has been rising in both India and overseas.
The facility received EU-GMP certification earlier this year, enabling the company to manufacture products for regulated international markets. This certification also supports Corona Remedies' plans to expand its global footprint by supplying high-quality hormone medicines to overseas customers.
The commercial launch follows the completion of the facility last year and its subsequent EU-GMP certification. By bringing advanced hormone manufacturing capabilities under one roof, Corona Remedies is strengthening its manufacturing network while preparing to meet growing demand in India and regulated international markets.
With the addition of the new hormone plant, the company is expected to enhance its manufacturing efficiency, expand its women's healthcare portfolio, and improve its ability to supply specialized hormone drugs across multiple markets.
