Air Suvidha 2.0 is now mandatory for all international passengers arriving in India as the government steps up airport health screening amid the ongoing Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa.
The upgraded digital system replaces paper-based declarations and is designed to help authorities monitor the health status of incoming travelers before they land.
Air Suvidha 2.0 is part of India's efforts to strengthen surveillance at international airports and ensure faster action if any health risk is detected.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched Air Suvidha 2.0, an upgraded online Health Self-Declaration system for passengers flying into India from abroad. The move comes as a precautionary measure following the Ebola outbreak reported in some African countries.

The government says the platform will improve coordination between health authorities, immigration officials, and airport agencies while reducing paperwork and waiting time.

According to the government, the upgraded system aims to:
Officials have clarified that the requirement is for all international passengers arriving in India. It does not apply to people traveling on domestic flights within the country.
The government has introduced the new system as a preventive measure and has urged international travelers to complete the declaration before their journey to avoid unnecessary delays during arrival. As global health concerns continue to evolve, Air Suvidha 2.0 is expected to play a key role in strengthening India's airport health screening process.
