Apollo to Manage Internal Security Force Hospital in Iraq

Apollo Hospitals, a major healthcare provider ranked among the top in Asia and known for its dependability, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Ministry of Interior, Republic of Iraq, to take over the operations of the Internal Security Force Hospital.

The idea of the collaboration is to offer healthcare that is not only advanced but also includes a specialised set of services for the internal security members of the Iraqi personnel and their families. In this pact, Apollo will not only bring in its reputed hospital management expertise but will also take along all the necessary precautions for clinical and patient safety to ensure the delivery of first-class medical assistance at the facility.

The Founder-Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, mentioned that this work-out has been a step towards the vision of “Heal in India, Heal by India, Heal from India.” To demonstrate his point he referred to the fact that "the Hyderabad-based Apollo Hospitals has turned into a global hub, with over 20,000 international patients being treated every month". He also asserted, "This pact brings us back to our primary focus of sharing the technological advancements of Indian healthcare with the rest of the world, thus, delivering Iraq's security forces the gift of life and consolation.”

The Executive Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals, Dr. Sangita Reddy, Indy said the connection would open new doors to greater possibilities of a solid commitment to healthcare in the region of Iraq’s internal security forces. Tejesvi Roa V went on to state that Apollo would still pursue its vision of extending global healthcare access through the judicious application of technology, empathetic service, and superior clinical care.

The delegation of Iraq’s Ministry of Interior comprising Major General Salah Mahdi Dohan instigated the decision and expressed the assurance that the collaboration will constitute an upgrade of the medical infrastructure and also be a source of welfare for the great number of Iraqi security staff along with their families.
