Lupin Foundation Expands NCD Care Access with New Diagnostics

The Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation has taken another important step to improve healthcare access in Rajasthan by introducing new diagnostic facilities focused on non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This initiative aims to make early detection and treatment of chronic illnesses more accessible, especially in underserved areas.

As part of this effort, two NCD Corners have been set up in Karauli and Hindaun. These centers are designed to strengthen rural healthcare infrastructure by making basic screening services available closer to communities. The initiative is being carried out under the foundation’s Desh Bandhu Jan Aarogya Sewa Program, which works to improve healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.

Each of these centers is equipped with essential diagnostic tools such as blood pressure monitors, ECG machines, glucometers, spirometers, and pulse oximeters. With these facilities in place, healthcare workers can identify conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory issues at an early stage, helping patients receive timely care.

The program also focuses on spreading awareness about lifestyle diseases. Nursing staff are being trained to guide patients on preventive healthcare, healthy habits, and the importance of sticking to long-term treatments. Educational materials are also being used to help people better understand how to manage and prevent chronic illnesses.

This initiative is part of a larger plan to set up nine NCD Corners across five districts in Rajasthan, including Jaisalmer, Baran, Dholpur, and Sirohi. By expanding this network, the foundation hopes to reach more people and reduce the burden of chronic diseases in rural and semi-urban areas.

Healthcare experts believe that such efforts can make a real difference. Early diagnosis not only improves treatment outcomes but also helps reduce complications and healthcare costs over time.

With NCDs becoming a major health concern in India, initiatives like this play a crucial role in building stronger and more accessible healthcare systems. The foundation’s continued focus on community health programs and awareness is expected to benefit thousands of people across the state.
