Sanofi Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. (SHIPL) has expanded its Sanofi Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, adding over 2.7 lakh square meters of modern workspace within its existing Hitech City campus.
The inauguration was attended by Hon’ble Duddilla Sridhar Babu, minister for IT, industries and commerce, Government of Telangana, along with senior Sanofi leaders.
With this expansion, the Sanofi Global Capability Centre (GCC) can now accommodate nearly 4,500 employees, up from the earlier projected 2,600. This makes it one of Sanofi’s largest talent hubs globally and positions the site among the top three pharma GCCs in India. Backed by a multi-hundred-million-dollar investment, the move strengthens Sanofi’s long-term commitment to India’s growing life sciences ecosystem.

The Hyderabad center, which began operations in 2019 with a focus on medical services, has since grown into a key global hub supporting research and development, digital innovation, data analytics, medical affairs, finance, procurement, people services, and commercial operations. The new facility is designed with sustainability in mind and promotes diversity, collaboration, and employee well-being.

D Sridhar Babu, minister for IT, industries & commerce, said while inaugurating the campus, “Sanofi’s expanded GCC underscores Hyderabad’s evolution from a manufacturing base to a strategic innovation and digital powerhouse for global biopharma.”
