The health and wellness industry, Zydus Wellness Limited, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Alidac UK Limited, has entered into a definite agreement to buy the UK-based Comfort Click Limited (CCL). Along with its subsidiaries in Ireland, the US, and India, the UK company is acquired.
The transaction worth GBP 239 million (Rs. 2,846 crore) represents Zydus Wellness’ first foray into foreign markets. Moreover, the move also acts as a turning point for Zydus Wellness to make a smooth and strategic entry into the VMS segment that is witnessing rapid inflow of demand globally.
Comfort Click is the owner of three main brands, WeightWorld (plant-based supplements, vitamins, minerals, probiotics), maxmedix (paediatric-focused VMS gummies), and Animigo (natural VMS products for pet health).

On the occasion, Dr. Sharvil Patel, Chairman, Zydus Wellness, who is a stickler for the latest technologies in the healthcare sector and push for their speedy entry in the country, noted that this step shows the company’s desire to establish global capabilities and also strengthen its personalized wellness and digital health solution footprints.
CEO and Whole-Time Director, Zydus Wellness Limited, Tarun Arora commented on the portfolio stating that it is full of synergies with Zydus’ vision and that a digital-first approach will make it easier for them to penetrate foreign markets while offering smart, consumer-centric health solutions.
