The second chapter of Garmin India's strategic partnership with Apollo HealthAxis, a division of Apollo Hospitals, aims to enhance chronic illnesses management, health monitoring, and general wellbeing across India.

The partnership has entered a new phase, expanding its scope and reaffirming its dedication to healthcare in both urban and rural areas, building on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked at the Garmin Health Summit 2024.

The Garmin Health API is now completely integrated with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy of Apollo's Total Health program. Through this interface, Garmin activity trackers and smartwatches can be used to monitor chronic conditions like diabetes in rural India.

The goal of the cooperative research project is to ascertain how ongoing health monitoring enhances health outcomes in marginalized groups.

Juha Villanen, head of B2B & Partnerships, Garmin (EMEA Emerging Markets and India), said, “At Garmin, we believe that technology can help advance preventive healthcare. Our collaboration with Apollo HealthAxis is a significant step forward in our efforts to provide actionable, real-time health data that complements clinical expertise. From rural communities to urban professionals, this collaboration will reshape how people in India interact with their health on a daily basis.”
